DP7272—24-Bit, 192kHz Stereo Audio Codec

The DP7272 is a high-performance integrated audio codec, supporting stereo audio A/D and D/A conversion with up to 24-bit serial data and a 192kHz sampling rate.

The D/A module features volume control with 1dB step precision, optional soft-start, and smooth zero-crossing transitions to eliminate clicks and pops. It includes digital mixing for channel swapping or stereo-to-mono downmixing. A standard 50/15µs de-emphasis function supports 32, 44.1, and 48kHz rates, compatible with pre-emphasized digital audio.

An integrated level converter enables easy interconnection with devices operating at different logic levels. The on-chip oscillator eliminates the need for an external crystal, reducing costs and board space. When no external master clock is provided, the DP7272 automatically activates its oscillator for ease of use.

Independent high-pass filters for A/D left and right channels support diverse applications, such as combining audio and DC measurement channels.
