Overview

The DPU232 is a highly integrated USB-to-UART bridge controller that converts RS232 to USB with minimal components and PCB space. It includes a USB 2.0 full-speed controller, transceiver, oscillator, EEPROM, and full modem control UART in a compact SSOP28 package—no external USB components required. The integrated EEPROM supports OEM customization (VID, PID, strings, power descriptor, serial number) and is programmable via USB during manufacturing or debugging.

  • True 5V/3.3V/2.5V/1.8V CMOS I/O.

  • Adjustable I/O Drive Strength.

  • TX/RX LED Drivers.

  • On-Chip POR and 3.3V Regulator.

  • Power Supply: Self-powered: 3.0–3.6V; Bus-powered: 4.2–5.25V.
